A CHALFONT St Peter chef has curried favour with judges by winning a Chiltern District Council food competition.
Nessar Meah (pictured) of the Tripti Tandoori restaurant, was crowned Chiltern Curry Chef of the Year at a judging ceremony at Chesham High School on Friday.
To win the coveted competition, the Tripti served up a fish curry dish, wild sea bass, with a chom-chom, bjaji, saffron basmati pilau rice, and organic vegetables.

A team of judges, headed by the district council's head of health and housing, Judi Downward, judged the competition,
giving points for the quality of food and hygiene.
The district council hosted the competition for the third year running, with the winners receiving a model elephant trophy
and certificate.
Tripti beat four others competitor restaurants in the area.
Joint owner of the Tripti, Nessar Meah, said: "I’m very proud that the restaurant has own this honour."
